Booking and Payment
A deposit of £75 per person should accompany a completed booking form and be sent to the address at the bottom of the page. Payment can be made by credit card or cheque.
On receipt of the deposit we will send you a Confirmation of Booking and Invoice. The invoice must be paid in full no later than 8 weeks before departure. Failure to pay could result in cancellation.
Your Money
The 1992 Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tours Regulations require us to make provision for the protection of all holidaymaker’s money paid to us in the event of our insolvency.
Consequently all monies received will be held in a jamtours trust account until completion of your holiday.
Cancellation Charges
All cancellations must be made by e-mail or post to the address at the bottom of the page.
Cancellations up to 8 weeks before departure will receive a full refund of any monies paid, less £25 admin costs.
Between 8 and 4 weeks before departure, a 50% refund or a credit voucher to the value of 75%, valid until the end of the following touring season.
4 weeks and less before departure, no refund.
If We Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel a tour under any circumstances beyond our control and will offer you the choice of an alternative tour date or a full refund.
Should the minimum number of bookings for a tour (4) not be reached, we will give you a full refund or offer you the option of paying a surcharge so that the tour can still go ahead.
Delays
We cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond our control, such as ferry companies not operating to their published schedule. In the event of any such delay you will be responsible for your own food and accommodation.
Tour Price
Our tour prices are fixed at the time of printing our brochure and will only be subject to a surcharge should the exchange rate between the pound and the Swiss franc vary by more than 20% and then only if the change happens before the full price of the tour has been paid. You will be offered a no penalty refund of your deposit if you do not wish to pay a surcharge.
Included in the price of your holiday:
• All ferry crossings
• Half Board hotel accommodation
• French motorway tolls
• Swiss motorway taxes
• Detailed route plans and maps
• J&M tour guide
Our Responsibility
We are responsible for ensuring that wherever possible the tour is of the standard described in the website and brochure. We cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control such as the weather, ferries running late or not at all, overbooking at the hotel or any third party activities offered by us, though every effort will be made by us to resolve any problems and find an acceptable alternative.
We cannot be held responsible for any accident resulting in death, bodily injury, damage to your motorcycle or personal possessions whilst on one of our tours. The same applies when you are participating in activities organised by a third party.
Your Responsibility
You must ensure that your motorcycle is in a fully roadworthy condition and is insured for use on the continent.
You must have adequate breakdown and recovery insurance for your motorcycle and accept that any breakdown or accident damage is your responsibility.
You are responsible for yourself and your pillion passenger (if you have one) and you should ride in accordance with the law.
You must ensure that you and your passenger (if you have one) are in possession of a valid British or Euro passport. If you hold any other countries passport then please get in touch with us to see if a visa is required.
You and your passenger (if you have one) must be in possession of a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which is obtainable free of charge. An application form is available from all UK post offices or you can apply online at www.dh.gov.uk/travellers or by calling the EHIC Application Line on 0845 606 2030. The EHIC entitles you to free or reduced cost medical treatment but does not cover for repatriation back to the UK, so comprehensive medical insurance is a very good idea! Full details of medical treatment available in each country visited can be found in the booklet Health Advice For Travellers that comes with your card.
Tour Descriptions
On a tour we try to stay flexible so consequently the tour descriptions found in this website are only a guideline. Daily ride outs are always discussed with the group and for those wanting to explore alone the next day, detailed route plans will be supplied. If we have to stay at an alternative hotel for any reason, it will always be of the same or better standard.
Complaints Procedure
If you have any reason to complain whilst on a tour with us, you should in the first instance see your tour guide. If he cannot help, then you should write to us within one
month of completing your tour, quoting your tour date and details of your complaint.
Acceptance
By filling out, signing and returning to us the booking form, you are acknowledging acceptance of our ‘Terms and Conditions’
